Piano Refurbishing

a piano refurbishing service
There are a lot of different factors that can go into piano refurbishing. We have sort of that look and feel aspect of things. If your piano’s exterior is looking old and worn down we may have to go in and do a considerable amount of work on the wooden structure or the type of original material that the instrument is made from. At the same time in a refurbishing procedure, you are most likely going to want your instrument to be left in workable conditions when it’s all set and done. Therefore, part of the refurbishment process could include replacing keys and strings.

Exterior Refurbishment

Sanding, repainting or re-staining are just some of the procedures that we are going to be able to apply here. The first thing that we want to do though is to make sure that we know exactly what type of base we are working with. In the past, we’ve had a lot of clients that have hired people who were not professionals of the piano business for help with these procedures. We’ve seen quite a few nightmares that we are certainly going to be keen to avoid. A big part of that is just knowing what we are dealing with and then picking the right steps to follow.

Is It Worth It?

Many people are only going to be willing to go through the trouble of a refurbishment process if it makes sense for them financially. Meaning, that the piano is going to have resale value after we are finished. Sometimes no matter how hard we try the damage is just too great for refurbishment to make sense. Even if you are not thinking about reselling the instrument. We can talk about the type of results that you can expect to obtain before we get straight to work.

Key & String Replacement

A big part of our refurbishing procedures is certainly to ensure that the piano actually works when we are done. If you haven’t given your piano the right type of care over a considerable amount of time, there is a good chance that the strings and keys will begin to wear down. We are going to be able to find the keys that match the ones that were originally used in your piano. As far as strings go, it could be a bit easier to find exactly the type of strings that match your piano. If you want to make sure that your piano can be played properly we are the guys that can help you with that.

Functionality Plus, Look & Feel

We’ve already talked about the fact that we are going to be making sure that your piano works when it’s all set and done. At the same time, we can make your piano look as good as new. No matter what it’s current condition happens to be, you can rest assured that we are going to be able to restore it back to full health.
